I really like how this piece came out. The idea reads clearly, and the waving guitar strap in the background keeps the image from becoming too static. I am having mild issues with the head of the guitar and the lack of tuning knobs. While I am aware that a Guitar Hero controller lacks these features, it reads as awkward when it comes to the composition as a whole. Adding tuning knobs or some other active element to the top half portion of the piece will help to balance the piece.
i like it. the only thing that gets me right now, is the strap seems a bit in a grey range. the value of it needs to be lighter to fade into the background or darker to stand out against it. i agree with shane on the tuning knobs or hints at them.
I agree with the above comments. I really like the handling of the piece and the way you've been using the materials. It's clearly presented and the colors work well. It might be nice to see the knobs or something on the real guitar as Shane said since it is in fact suppose to represent a real guitar.
This site is a work in progress for the seniors of the illustration department at Montserrat College of Art. They will be frequently be posting and commenting on their portfolio work being created during the structure of the class. Please feel free to leave constructive criticism.
