Here is the final illustration of my teacher Fred Lynch, as directed by my friend Jeff Chouiniere. He's colorblind, so I decided to use this type of palette to highlight this aspect. Oh, and the mug there is a little homage to his series of paintings. Keep it real Fred.

ReplyDeletethe reduction of contrast in the guys hair is great. i don't notice the swirl as much. also i love the treatment of the blackboard behind fred. it helps imply the surface better and ties it into his color scheme more so.
