Jamie Lidell Poster~

I was going for quiet earthy tones. And then somewhere along the way that punch-you-in-the-face orange showed up. Believe it or not, it used to be neon punch-you-in-the-face orange.

So. Um. Guys. Any tweaks you think it needs? Color stuff? Shading's not working out? I'm totally not made out to do any graphic design/lettering at all? Hit me~

The Bufo Toad Update

Tried to work in more black toward the bottom and more of the smoke up the composition to even out the colors, hopefully this balanced the piece out more

Painted skin: WIP

Heeyy here's a WIP for my upcoming piece based on the story "the painted skin". its my usual style, but i used textures in a slightly calmer fashion this time around. i also have two different color concepts im working with atm, one is slightly more red than the other. if there's anything else i should change before the finish, feel free to tell me =D thanks!

The Bufo Toad

Hey all, here are a couple of different versions of the demon toad story I am working on;

(Quick re-cap)

"A woman is cursed by an evil spirit man who is looking for more money from her, and he sends a demon toad, the Bufo toad. The mucus it creates is so poisonous that if even touched a full grown human would die.
To help defeat the toad the woman pours water from a mermaids pond, which can burn the toad and kill it."

I wanted to try out different methods of black and white (Or color in this instance)

I think I am leaning more towards no. 3

Doctor Who Cover Update

Hey all, I made the changes we talked about it class to my 1st cover. I add the blue light from the sonic screwdriver and the light it casts on the two Daleks and the 9th doctors jacket. I also darkened the head of the center Dalek. Hopefully you can see it in the scan.

Dreadlocks -- sketches

Here are some sketches of what I'm considering for my third illustration. I'm thinking about doing something more elegant than playful. I'm leaning more toward the bottom-center illustration (or the more tightly cropped one on the bottom right.) Let me know what you think! Thanks!

Painted skin:sketches

I drew up another sketch. i know you guys like the other one but i could not get rid of the "totem poll" symmetry and keep the same composition, so i drew this =) not as "romantic" as the other ones, still keeping his chest open, and i shortened the canvas.

These two are just tonal studies, one where she has pointed fingers and the other with normal. i am a little concerned with the ribs not being shaped all the way around, but i do enjoy the "zipper" affect it creates. tell me what you think =)

Did some revisions, slightly different positioning of the two:

This version is the newest one, where i added the fly whisk that supposedly wards off evil spirits, wasnt sure if i should add another element besides the two people.
